Don’t travel by train or car, by bus or by bike, don’t walk, or take a plane or a boat. Try travelling by submarine. In Aruba. One of the most colourful and vibrant islands in the Caribbean.
There’s everything from multi-coloured fish and corals to actual boats lying on the bottom of the reef. After you climb down into the boat it starts descending… 10, 20, 30, 40 down to 130 feet. The light shifts getting progressively darker the deeper you go. Everyone’s eyes stay fixated on the port hole in front of them. It’s a surreal experience.
After making your way back up to the surface of the water you might want to explore the surrounding area…
As the most touristed island in southern Caribbean it’s extremely popular. But make sure your wallet is stacked as its one of the pricier islands. Aruba is all about fun, sun and spending money.
There’s shops (there’s always shops), there’s casinos for those feeling lucky, and there’s great food – from light snacks to gourmet dinners. The average temperature is 28 degrees meaning you’ll come back glowing and, more importantly, the envy of all your friends.
